Arthur Lyon Dahl is a biologist and retired senior official of the UN Environment Programme, where he now coordinates the UNEP/ University of Geneva Environmental Diplomacy Programme. With over
thirty-five years’ international experience as adviser and lecturer on environmental assessment, sustainability development, and coral reefs, he contributed to the UN Conferences on environment and sustainable development in Stockholm (1972), Rio (1992), and Johannesburg (2002). He is President of the International Environment Forum (www.bcca.org/ief) and author of Unless and Until: A Bahá’í Focus on the Environment, and The Eco Principle: Ecology and Economics in Symbiosis. He makes his home in Geneva, Switzerland.
