AMROLLAH HEMMAT is the co-author of five volumes of poetry with John S. Hatcher and books and educational material on Arabic grammar. He has authored articles on translation, hermeneutics, and discourse. His education includes a graduate degree from the Johns Hopkins University in Applied Behavioral Science and a PhD in Communication from the University of South Florida. His doctoral dissertation focuses on the interpretation and translation of religious and mystical texts. He serves as an executive in the UNESCO Affiliated Global Discourse Society. He has been a consultant to universities, and a frequent keynote speaker at academic conferences. His current areas of research include Bahá’í studies, translation studies, hermeneutics, intercultural communication, and Chinese studies.
