Menna Elfyn is an award winning poet, memoirist and playwright. She has published fourteen collections of poetry, children’s novels, libretti for UK and US composers, and plays for radio and television. In 1999, she co-wrote “Garden of Light,” a choral symphony for the New York Philharmonic.
Her books include Eucalyptus, Selected Poems 1978-1994, Cell Angel, Murmur, Bondo and a memoir in
Welsh, Cennad (Messager), published by Barddas in March 2018. She co-edited The Bloodaxe Book of Modern Welsh Poetry. Retired from teaching at University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Menna is president of PEN Cymru and lives in South West Wales.
