Charles H. Lynch, a retired professor of English and Cave Canem Fellow, became a Bahá’í in January 1990. He resides in Brooklyn with his wife Gayle. His dissertation at New York University was about the lives and writing of Robert Hayden and Gwendolyn Brooks. Charles enjoys crafting poems that have a variety of types of diction and shapes. They have appeared in anthologies and literary magazines such
as The Drunken Boat, Crab Orchard Review, Black American Literature Forum, Gargoyle, The Saint Ann’s Review, Obsidian, and PLUCK!: A Journal of Afrilachian Arts & Culture.
